Selling Locally

Where to sell electronics near you

The honest answer is that it does not need to be near you. Free postage from anywhere in the UK, collection where there is enough to justify it, and payment within three working days of the equipment arriving and being checked.

Two routes

You do not need to find a local buyer

“Near me” usually means “without a long journey”. Both routes below solve that, and neither depends on where you live.

Post it, from anywhere

Free postage for laptops, wherever you are. This is the route most people want when they search for somewhere local — the thing they actually need is not to drive anywhere, and posting solves that better than a shop down the road.

Collection, for larger quantities

Clearing an office, a server room or a store cupboard full of machines? We collect across the UK — tell us what you have and where it is, and we will confirm what is involved before anything is booked.

Business clear-outs

Office moves, refresh cycles and site closures are handled as one job rather than machine by machine, with the data side agreed before anything leaves your building.

Tell us where the equipment is when you enquire. It affects whether collection makes sense, and it is one of the things that feeds into the figure.

Questions

Selling locally, answered

Or call 020 3411 1951 and tell us where you are.

Can I bring my laptop in to you?

We are not a walk-in shop, so posting or collection are the two routes. For a single laptop, free postage is usually quicker than a journey anyway — and it means where you are makes no difference to what you get.

Do you cover my area?

Yes — we work across the UK. Postage covers the whole country, and collection is arranged wherever there is enough to justify it. Tell us where the equipment is and roughly how much there is, and we will confirm which route makes more sense.

What is actually near me for recycling?

Every local authority runs a household waste recycling centre that takes small electricals, and larger shops selling electricals are obliged to help you dispose of an old equivalent item. Both are genuinely local options. Recycling a laptop in the UK covers them — though it is worth checking whether the thing is genuinely finished first, because a lot gets recycled that did not need to be.

Is selling locally worth more than posting?

Rarely, for one machine. A local buyer has the same margin to make as anyone else and you have spent a journey. Where local genuinely wins is volume — a pallet nobody wants to post — and that is what collection is for.
