How It Works

A simple, transparent process

Seven steps from first enquiry to final recovery. You will know what is happening to your equipment at every stage.

  1. 01

    Tell Us What You Have

Submit the details of your equipment — type, quantity, rough condition. A spreadsheet or a few photos is plenty.

  2. 02

    We Assess It

We review the equipment, quantity, condition and potential value.

  3. 03

    Receive Your Quote

We provide an offer for the equipment that is suitable for us to buy.

  4. 04

    Collection / Delivery

Free collection from your premises where there is enough to justify the journey, or send the equipment in to us.

  5. 05

    Data Wiping

If required, eligible storage devices can be securely wiped.

  6. 06

    Certificate

Where data wiping is requested, we provide the appropriate data erasure or destruction documentation.

  7. 07

    Recovery

Equipment is refurbished, resold, used for parts or responsibly recycled, depending on its condition.

  8. 08

    Payment

The price is agreed before anything moves. Where we collect you are paid at the time of collection; where you ship it to us, on the working day it arrives.

Data Wiping

Your data. Securely removed.

Most business equipment holds something you would rather not pass on. If your devices contain sensitive or business information, we can securely wipe eligible storage before the equipment moves on.

On-Site Data Wiping

Where appropriate, data wiping can be carried out at your own premises, so equipment containing sensitive information does not have to leave the building before it is wiped.

Wipe & Certificate

Equipment can be collected, processed and securely wiped at our facility, with documentation provided to record the completed erasure process.

Details of the erasure method and the documentation issued are confirmed with you before any work begins.

What Happens To Your Equipment

We recover as much value as possible

Every item is assessed after collection. What happens next depends on its condition — recycling is the last resort, not the first.

Questions

The things people ask first

Short answers to what usually comes up before anyone sends a list. If yours is not here, call us on 020 3411 1951 and ask.

What do you actually buy?

Laptops, desktops, servers, storage, drives, networking, monitors, tablets and loose components — working or faulty, a single unit or a full server room. If it is not obviously on the list it is still worth asking. The full list.

What do I need before I get in touch?

Less than you think. A rough idea of what you have is enough to start — no asset register, no valuation, and nothing sorted or labelled first. Tell us roughly how much there is, what condition it is in, and whether any of it still holds data.

What happens to the data on our old machines?

Say which items hold data at enquiry stage and we will agree how they are handled before anything moves. Eligible storage can be wiped at your premises or at ours, with documentation recording the erasure, and anything that cannot be wiped is destroyed rather than passed on. More on data wiping.

How is the figure worked out?

From what the equipment is, how old it is, what condition it is in, how much of it there is, where it is, and whether it holds data. Quotes are itemised rather than handed over as a single lump sum, and they are clear about anything we cannot buy. The process, step by step.

Do you collect?

Yes, and where there is enough to justify the journey the collection is free. For one or two small items it is usually simpler to send them in instead. Access matters more than the equipment does — lifts, loading bays, permits and site inductions all change how a day runs — so tell us where the equipment is and we will confirm what is involved before anything is booked. More on business collections.

What happens to the equipment afterwards?

Every item is assessed individually. Where there is useful life left it is refurbished and resold; where there is not, working components are recovered to keep other machines running. Recycling is the last resort, not the first. What happens to your equipment.
